In order to view the streaming video, you need to have an ActiveX component provided by the camera manufacturer, (Axis Communications), installed on your computer. Click on one of the four live video cams above. After a few seconds you will be prompted to download an Axis Media Control component. Save this to your desktop, then double click the icon on your desktop to install it on your computer. You will then be able to view the live video. More info on the Axis component can be found here.
1. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the first photo of the shop to appear after clicking one of the links above. The cameras have to sleep too!
2. If you see a picture of black nothingness, it means it's dark in the shop. We're located on the east coast of the U.S. - Eastern Time. Check back during a reasonable hour!
3. If you don't get a picture in the webcams, it means one of two things:
Check back in a little while.
4. For those who are especially interested in the bench webcam and watching instruments being repaired - there are several benches in the shop at which we work. Not all are visible in the webcams. If you would like to see something specific, let us know what and when. Often our schedule is pretty flexible and will allow us to plan certain jobs for a specific time and day. 5. All traffic on the webcams is logged for security purposes.
